Week 2: Introduction of Me

Well it's kind of hard to take a photo of myself, so Heath helped me out with this week's photographs!


23 weeks along this week! Definitely a growing belly! I am certainly feeling the lil miss kick a lot more!

52 Weeks of Photos

One of my friends posted a creative photo idea on her blog a few weeks ago. After pondering the idea, I though I'd give it a shot. It's called 52 Weeks of Photos. Each week I have a new subject to photograph and I'll place a few pictures on this blog for you to see. I think it'll be a great way for me to improve my picture taking skills and expand my creativity.

This was a quick photo that I took Monday morning in our back yard. The green grass is actually the end of our property so it was relatively close. This is just one of the many reasons we love living where we do!

Baby Girl...

Yesterday was another routine OB appointment. Everything looked and measured great. The baby's heart beat was in the 140's again. Next time I visit the doctor I will do the glucose test as well as an appointment. I'm so looking forward to drinking the orange drink. :)

After digging up all the plants, hauling several wheelbarrow loads of dirt and putting it all back into place, this is the completed project. It needs time to grow and then I know it'll look much better but I have to say I'm impressed with how it turned out!

The weather has been great for working outside. Yesterday I, with help, redid two flower beds, washed windows, and cleaned out the landscaping in front of our house. It was great to be able to work outside. I sure hope spring is here to stay.

Mommy and baby are still doing fine. Baby seems to be growing or at least Mommy's belly is! :) We visit the doctor again this week for our monthly check up. Yesterday we put together a rocking chair that I had ordered. It looks beautiful and is very comfortable. I can't wait to get things set up in the nursery!

We have a safari animal theme in the nursery. The bedding we have has a lion, tiger, giraffe and elephant on it with various shades of browns and other earth tones.

The changing table is all stained and urethaned. Heath will begin working on the drawers and door next. I can't wait to add it to the nursery! He's done a super job on it!

Baby Ploeger Update

Pink, purple, flowers and baby dolls are about to take over our house. At our sono today we learned that our little bundle of joy is a GIRL. We are both rather excited, however Heath did mention he was going to be out numbered!

She seemed to be "just like Kaylee" moving her mouth constantly and waving her arms throughout the entire sono. Heath and I both looked at each other at the same time and said "she's another Kaylee!"
