We are very thankful to have a bountiful garden and such giving families too. Yesterday I canned 7 pints of pizza and pasta sauce. This was in addition to the 3 I did last week. I also was able to freeze 9 quarts of peaches. Our tomatoes still seem to be producing well and I'll be canning some peaches later this week as well.
Heath told me that in a couple weeks we'll have more sweetcorn to freeze too! Right now it seems a little overwhelming, but I have to keep reminding myself how good it all taste in the middle of winter. And besides, we'll have another mouth to feed too!

I had a doctor's appointment the end of last week and it all went well. I'll have to admit it is nice to have air conditioning this time of year! I don't know what I would do without it. I have also made several trips to the pool.

It is typical fair weather...high humidity and high temperatures. I am very thankful for an air conditioned building for most of my day! My busy time at the fair is over and all fair events will be wrapping up on Friday! It has been a successful event although our numbers have been down in most areas!

The fair has begun! Well not officially, however, the pre-judging events are underway. This morning we had the demonstration contest which was a success. We had more participants than the previous year so that's always good!
Tomorrow kicks off with the Horse Show and Dog Show followed by Arts & Crafts, the Fashion Revue and Clothing Judging on Saturday.
If you're in the area, come on out and join the fun! The 4-Hers would love to show you all the work they've done!
