Kenzie did great eating cereal every night this weekend. Last night she kept opening her mouth like she wanted more.

Born a Wildcat!

As I'm preparing for Kenzie to move into 6-9 month clothes, I'm trying to catch a few photos of her in the 3-6 month clothes before they get put away! Grandpa Dwight bought Kenzie the purple K-State shirt and little white KSU booties at the first home football game this past season. Grandma Charlotte got Kenzie the pink K-State onsie.

Splish Splash

I got Kenzie a new seat for the bath tub. She was wanting to sit up too much in the infant one and it didn't look comfortable so I saw this one and thought I'd give it a try. Its shaped like a Bobby with an attached seat. I got it at Babys R Us, if your interested. Pretty neat and Kenzie loved it. She seemed more relaxed during her bath last night.

23 Weeks...My Daddy's Birthday!

Miss K is 24 weeks old today! She's growing up so fast. This past weekend I got out the 6-9 month clothes and washed them. This week as she wears her 3-6 month ones, I'll was and put them away. So sad....
Kenzie has gotten a little better with her sleeping. She continues to wake up 2 times a night, which is better than every 2 hours! She loves making noises whether it's a high pitch squeal or a low growl.

Kenzie's Closet

Here's another update on the basement.....Heath finished painting Kenzie's room and the red wall. We still have to paint the hall, put the doors on and finish the closet and trim. Daddy is doing a great job.

5 Months Old

It's so hard to believe that it's already been 5 months since we were blessed with our beautiful little girl. Yesterday Kenzie turned 5 months old! Because it was a holiday, I got to spend the day with her. We took Charlotte to the doctor, went to the grocery store and responded to a wreck. While we were at the doctor's the nice nurse weighed Miss K. She weighed 16 pounds 11 1/2 ounces. She's certainly getting big. She continues to do well on her schedule and doesn't miss a meal....as you can see. She's gotten back on a routine at night that has allowed for some much needed rest. I know her daddy and I hope that continues!

No we aren't planning to kick Kenzie to the basement just yet, but we wanted to go ahead and finish off the one area of the basement. Last spring we worked on the bathroom in the basement and now we're finishing the hall and bedroom. Stay tuned for more photos as Daddy continues this project.

21 Weeks

Kenize is a very happy baby. She has gone through a spell lately that she decides to wake up every couple of hours (sometimes every hour) during the night. However, the past 2 nights have been great. She has gone down between 8:30 and 9 and slept until 2, ate and went back to sleep until 6:30. I hope she continues this pattern.

Over the past week, with all the snow, Kenzie spent 1 1/2 days with her Grandma Vicki. I think they both enjoyed it. Kenzie loves going to Karla's though. She looks for that crazy Jim each morning when I drop her off. If Jim isn't around her head is literally moving from side to side looking for him. She looks forward to his obnoxious noises!

A friend of ours gave Kenzie a santa suit. For mommy this meant a great photo opportunity. She loved it and we got some adorable photos.

1st Christmas

As you can see, it's been a while since I have updated the blog. I had the opportunity to have several days off around Christmas to spend with family, especially Miss Kenzie. The time with her was wonderful, but it was certainly hard to come back to work this week. Kenzie visited me at work one day this week and I was able to weigh her. She is up to 15 pounds, 10 ounces. This week she has also begun sitting up on her own and rolling over. I haven't been able to catch her rolling over, however Grandma Vicki and daddy have seen her in action!
