Kenzie tried sweet potatoes for the first time this week. She wasn't quite sure for the first couple bites, but then ate them up. She's done well with them all week. What's next? Green beans?

6 Months Old

Our little princess is 6 months old today. The time has flown by. Kenzie weighs 16 lbs 11.8 oz and is 25 3/4 inches long. She continues to enjoy her cereal and always opens her mouth for more. You won't find Kenzie laying on the floor much as she'd rather be sitting up or in her exersaucer. Kenzie sits alone for several minutes at one time. She is just getting over a cold which interrupted her sleep pattern, but last night she did well again, only waking up once to eat.
Kenzie's Great Uncle Jim has taught her a song that well, let's just say we don't approve of. It begins like this...RROOOCCKKKK....you can finish the rest. We're trying to get Uncle Danny and Grandpa Dwight to teach her a better one.

We just couldn't resist putting Kenzie in her K-State cheerleader outfit Tuesday morning. The Cats haven't played well most of the season, but Monday night they sure did play well. Since they beat the Jayhawks we thought it was important that Kenzie show Uncle Jim her beautiful outfit!

Kenzie is sitting up a lot more now. She loves to be sitting up and watching everything that is going on. She has been battling a cold for the past few days. With not much sleep at night, Mommy and Daddy are wearing down fast. Monday night Kenzie finally slept a little better. Hopefully she's kicking this.

Miss Kenzie celebrated her 1st Valentine's Day yesterday. Despite the head cold she has and the lack of sleep she has been getting, I think she had a good day. Even though we knew she didn't feel good, she still had smiles for us!

We had Kenzie's photos taken last Saturday. Here are just a few that Tiffany at Tiff's Touch Photography captured! Kenzie wasn't about to smile for her. A little stubborn I guess you could say.
A friend of mine, Tara, let us borrow this cute red and white hat box. She thought it'd be a good prop for Kenzie's pictures. She was right!

Kenzie loves to be in her exersaucer and she also likes sitting up and playing with her little kitchen. Mommy and daddy can sing all the songs on the kitchen, but she loves it.

SNOW DAY

For the last day and a half we got to spend quality time at home as a family. The snow and wind caused a lot of drifting and things were shut down. We worked on cleaning the basement, playing with Kenzie and just enjoying the time together.

When it's cold and snowy out Mommy and Daddy bundle me up good. Sometimes it's so warm and cozy that I fall asleep.
