This past weekend my parents, Kenzie and I went to the M&M Store. My mom collects M&M things as did Heath's sister. Kenzie wasn't quite sure about the statues at first, but warmed up once we were in the store.

Sunday afternoon was very nice so Heath got to take his girl fishing. He helped her get all set up and she ended up catching 6 fish with her princess pole! She was very proud, especially since Daddy only caught 5.

Kenzie didn't bat an eye when we told her told hold them. She liked touching them and feeling if they had teeth or whiskers.

She caught 4 bass, 1 bluegill and 1 channel cat.

April Woes

For the last few years, April has been a time of year that I dread. It started in 2011 when my mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor and under went radiation. PTL it was successful, it still wasn't a time in life that we wanted to face.
Then, in April of 2012, I underwent testing which ended with a diagnosis of MS. Though this hasn't effected my life dramatically, yet, there are times that I struggle more and more.
Last year in April, we seemed to skimp by only to the first week of May when my dad had to have a stint placed in his heart.
My family isn't the only ones that have had tragedy in April. Heath's family lost a very special person to a tragic event in April of 2000.
This year, I pray that my family can celebrate the times that we have together and look back on these events as memories.

It's been far too long...

It has been far too long since I have written an update about our family. Here is a short recap of the past couple months...

Heath-busy with work, working on side jobs, preparing the outside (pool, garden) for winter, shooting clays when he can

Jennifer-had a BIG birthday, staying busy with work, attended a conference, made Kenzie's Halloween Costume, trying to keep up with the daily duties of the house

Kenzie-playing babies, playing doctor, counting to 20, repeating the ABC's over and over, singing songs she made up as well as 'real' ones, checking on Papa's finger (he hurt it bad in September),

Kenzie's phrase right now: "no way Jose Bob!"

We have been to two K-State games this season as a family. Kenzie has really been excited about going and while there she loves to look for Willie and watch the cheerleaders. Oakley and the three cats still continue to grow. Kenzie loves to have them around and watch them.

Look Whooos 3!

Kenzie had an owl themed birthday party! I made her cakes and cupcakes and decorated with a lot of owls. Kenzie began liking owls when she heard one out her bedroom window a few months back. Kenzie took in a lot of loot for her birthday! She's one special girl.

Here is one of her '3 year pictures.' She has grown up so much!
